Festival Information
LOCATION
All festival performances will take place in Cape Girardeau’s historic downtown area along the Mississippi River. Festival Headquarters is located at the
Cape Girardeau Convention and Visitors Bureau at 400 Broadway, Suite 100.
PARKING
Free parking is available throughout the downtown district. A map showing parking lots in the downtown district is available.
SHUTTLE SERVICE
A shuttle service will be provided to take you around to the tents and to different parking lots.
FOOD AND BEVERAGES
A wide variety of restaurants are located across Cape Girardeau. We encourage you to try them all during the festival.
RESTROOMS
Restrooms are available inside the Festival Headquarters at the Cape Girardeau Convention and Visitors Bureau at 400 Broadway, Suite 100. Port-a-potties are located near performance sites. A public restroom facility is located at the corner of Broadway and Main, directly across from the Mississippi floodgate. Festival goers are asked to refrain from using restrooms inside of restaurants unless dining there.

Ticketing
STUDENT GROUPS
The Cape Girardeau Storytelling Festival has partnered with regional school districts to allow our next generation to experience the wonderful art of storytelling. On Friday, many area school children will be attending daytime sessions. If you are interested in scheduling a similar outing for students during next year’s festival, call 800-777-0068.
FESTIVAL PASSES
For one flat rate of $35, the festival pass grants admission to every performance throughout the entire three-day festival. One-day passes are available for $25. Advance ticket purchases are recommended. Passes can be purchased during the festival at the Festival Headquarters as space allows. Cash, checks, MasterCard and Visa accepted.
REFUNDS
No full or partial refunds will be issued on festival passes.
SEATING
All performances are open seating; no seat numbers or reserved seats. Please do not save groups of seats between performances by placing items on them. You may save a single seat for your companion. Tent monitors will clear items off chairs between performances.
LATE ARRIVAL
Audience members arriving late for storytelling events will be seated during a break in the performance as a courtesy to the other audience members.

TRANSIT AND TAXI
Transportation options include a fixed-route shuttle bus or taxi service. Call the Cape Transit Authority at573-335-5533. A fee will apply.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Photography, audio recording and video taping are permitted on the festival grounds, but prohibited in tents during tellers’ performances — except in designated tents at designated times by authorized media representatives.
SMOKING
Smoking is not allowed inside performance tents or the Festival Headquarters.
ALCOHOL
Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the festival grounds or the streets of Cape Girardeau per city ordinance.
PHONES
Please be sure all cell phones and pagers are turned off during the performances.
PETS
Pets are not allowed in festival tents with the exception of guide dogs for the disabled.
FIRST AID
First-aid kits are available at each of the performance tents and the Festival Headquarters. For emergency assistance, please dial 911.
ATM
ATMs are available downtown in The Billiard Center, Broussard’s Cajun Cuisine and Port Cape Girardeau as well as outside at Capaha Bank.
LOST AND FOUND
Lost children and lost items will be taken to the Festival Headquarters.
