What The Critics Say?
Absolutely perfect in every way. I was born in Cape-grew up in Chaffee. So proud of my roots- so good to be back. I will be back for another festival.

I think the success of the festival is due to the great organization-lots of help, good advertising, top of the line tellers, nothing left to change. We stayed at a local B&B- parking was no problem for us. Thanks for the golf carts and van. We are getting older and needed some help on that!

This is a wonderful addition to storytelling in the Midwest; Cape Girardeau- has been a great host. I love to hear the fascinating ways in which the storytellers can convey and describe their stories. It also encourages me to pass tales and short stories to my children.

Everywhere I go, I tell friends that the Cape festival is one of the best festivals in the country-- and that the host city is a gem of a destination.

I was here in 2008 and thought it was an extrememly well organized festival featuring some of the most talented people in the country. I came back in 2010 hoping it would be the same--and much to my delight, it was!

---PJY | Nashville, TN
Wow! It all was great! The Cape is a beautiful place for the festival. The storytellers each added their own flavor to the mix--making us laugh harder than we have for a long time, helping us remember our own stories and memories, taking us on a trip thorugh the whole range of human emotions and to places known and unknown.
